Hawk is a company engaged in the exploration, development and production of conventional crude oil and natural gas in western Canada and is based in Calgary, Alberta.
History:
Hawk was incorporated on February 2, 2009 and commenced operations on February 26, 2009 with the closing of a private placement of 4.8 million Class A Shares raising proceeds of $1.2 Million. On June 11, 2009, Hawk closed its Initial Public Offering of 12,000 Units at a price of $1,000 per Unit for gross proceeds of $12,000,000. Each Unit is comprised of 400 Class A Shares at $0.25 per Share and 90 Class B Shares at $10.00 per Share, each of which will be issued as flow through shares.
On June 17, 2009, the Class A Shares and Class B Shares of Hawk began trading on the TSX Venture Exchange under the trading symbols HWK.A and HWK.B respectively.
As at December 31, 2012, Hawk had 34,480,953 Class A Shares and 1,080,000 Class B Shares issued and outstanding.
